Here we are with another Cooking with the Crafters blog post and this time it is a very very caloric post! :)) As you may know, truffles are one of Italian best products, a fruit of our grounds, known since the ancient ages and believed to be a powerful aphrodisiac. So our friend LazyFish prepared for us a very easy recipe, using not the famous tuber itself but the as much aphrodisiac cocoa:
Cocoa and rhum truffles:
Ingredients:
° 100 grams butter
° 100g sugar
° 250 biscuits
° 70g cocoa powder (unsweetened)
° 2 egg yolks
° 6 spoons of rhum
Preparation:
Reduce the biscuits in powder, mix them with the butter, softened by leaving it for 10 minutes outside the fridge or softened with a bit of microwave (nb low watts and just for a while, it does not have to melt, just become more easily workable).
Add sugar, cocoa, yolks, and when it's even, add the rhum, keep on mixing and then put the mixture in the fridge to make it gain consistence again (15 minutes will be enough usually). Take it out, do some small balls (like a small walnut) and roll them in cocoa powder.
Lay them on a nice tray or dish and keep them in the fridge till one hour before serving them.
Yes, they have a billion calories... who cares? They're delicious!!!
Buon appetito :)
